ABSTRACT
This paper deals about Reformist and Jihadi Struggle of Syed Ahmed Shaheed. Syed Ahmed Shaheed was born in Utarpardesh (India) in 1786 AD. He was fond of horse riding and physical exercise since his childhood. He remained under the supervision of Shah Abdul Aziz & Shah Abdul Qadir, through which he spread the teachings of Shah Walliullah. At that time politically sub-continent was under the authority’s sway of British, and Sikhs in Panjab, socially Muslims were trapped in Shrik and Bidiat. He took practical steps weaken such meaningless and traditional practices by the dawah and preaching and started Jihad against the amines of Islam. He founded an Islamic state based on true spirits of its teachings. Foes couldn’t sustain such measures. He was betrayed by the hypocrites, hatched many conspiracies against him. Sayed sahib waged a decisive battle against Shar sinjh son of Ranjit singh and laid his life there in 1831 AD. In this paper some revolutionary steps of Syed Ahmed Shaheed’s are discussed.
