Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (May the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) is indeed a light house for Muslim to understand and propagate Islam. This paper attempts to highlight issues of core significance like devotion, dedication, humbleness, clarity of vision and being a role model from sīrah with illumination of wrong notions spread in da‘wah context.

Soon after the arrival of Islam in India, it began emerging as a strong power through the work of Muslim Scholars and Sufis. To minimize its strength, various efforts were made by several Hindu reformers to either assimilate it with other regional religions or unify it with other religions to promote the so-called concept of “peace & love for all”. These efforts gave rise to different religions and movements, most important of which are Sikhism and Bhakti Movement. Although they began with the benign objectives to weaken the power of Islam and assimilate it with other religions to prevent more conversions, with the passage of time the nature of these movements became clearly anti-Islamic and hostile. Similarly, the ideologies of Akbar and Dara Shikoh gave rise to Din-e-Ilahi and the un-Islamic concepts of unification of religions and peace & love for all. The article in hand presents an overview of the propagators of these anti-Islamic efforts, their popularity and impacts on the Muslim society in India during the Mughal period. The aim is to provide a historical context of such movements and the efforts made by Muslim scholars to combat these insurgencies in order to provide guidance to the Muslims in the present era where print, electronic and social media have made false and misleading information very easily accessible to all. It can be witnessed even now that on these media the propagators of such concepts are derailing the people by saying that goodness and piety do not belong to any particular religion. Allah and Ram are the names of one personality and goal of life is the same irrespective of any religion.
Under the article 227 of the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, each and every clause of the constitution must be in agreement with laws of Quran and Sunnah. In this regard steps have been taken from time to time to ensure that these laws are in compliance with the Islamic law. But some people believe it to be not fully compliant with respect to the Islamic shariah, and based on this they declare the established constitution and Laws of Pakistan totally unIslamic. Therefore, this research compares the Articles related to Offence against Property in the Ordinance of 1979 with “Bab ul Sariqa” of Fatawa Alamgiri (Hindeya) which proves that the laws related to Sariqa (theft) are mostly compatible with the Sharia. Hence, the claim to declare laws in Pakistan as contrary to the Islamic Sharia is baseless and against the facts. Although these laws are weak which can be rectified if properly reviewed in the light of the principles of Islamic Shariah. For this purpose the Islamic Ideology counsel was made in the 1973 constitution, so the counsel may be tasked to make these articles according to spirit of sharia.
Muhammad Adil Copyright (c) 2024 Ma‘ārif Research Journal http://mrjpk.com/index.php/mrjpk/article/view/360 Sun, 31 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0000 The Transgender Act 2018 http://mrjpk.com/index.php/mrjpk/article/view/358

Transgender are fronting discrimination and exclusion in all living dynamics. They are treated inequality in society, education, health care and within their families as well. They are beaten, harassment, tortured, sexually assaulted and killed. In many countries, intersex children are killed and human rights are violated. In Pakistan act 2018 rights are conducted for the transgender people on authoritative level. This research paper focuses on Transgender act 2018, objections and Sharia perspective. The qualitative and analytical methodology is adopted for this research paper. It concluded that through this act, Pakistan is exposed as one of the countries affirm gender identity and self-recognition for the transgender.Although This law affirms rights for them on educational and health care level but changing gender identity is against shariah. Religious fundamentalist's challenges the transgender act claiming that this law is promoting homosexuality and same sex marriage that is contrary to Islam which damage the inheritance system. Islam is the religion promoting humanitarian rights equally. Moreover, transgender people are more needed to be protect and strength then their respect, equality and safety in existing society .This contradictions increases violence and ferocity within the society. It is recommended to take actions on higher to reduce the fissure between Pakistan transgender judicial laws and Shariah perspective actively.
Key words:
Transgender, Shariah, Objection, Identity, Legal
The World has taken the shape of a global village through scientific advancement and the fastest means of communication.
