ABSTRACT
This is free translation with references of the famous Article “Arabic Literature between its Past and Future,” which published in October 1945 the first issue of journal “Al-Katib Al-Misri” written by renowned Arabic writer Porf. Dr. Taha Hussain, who was the prominent Egyptian Philosopher, Novelist, and the founder of the modernist movement in Arabic literature of 20th century, this Article asserts the continuity of Arabic literature.Unlike Greek and Latin literature, which have no direct contemporary extension, according to the Taha Hussain, modern Arabic literature is a direct linear extension of classical literature.
