The rapid and vast advancements in the knowledge base of science, technology and weaponry has brought major modifications in modern warfare. Despite immaculate ancient military expertise and war strategy; the advancements in technology have left the old warfare techniques behind and has rendered them obsolete and irrelevant. The weapon systems employed in wars fought by our forefathers are limited as museums artifacts as advanced munitions has outmoded these weapons fast. Consequently, it is widely believed that ancient rules of military engagement cannot be employed nowadays.
However, the aforesaid believe can be proved wrong upon detailed perusal of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s defense rules and guidelines for waging war. Along with the commandment of undertaking Jihad, Islam explicitly laid down dos and don’ts of the battlefield and explained detailed defensive strategies. These teachings have an ingrained flexibility and room for amendment for the modern day. Therefore, to this very day, Muslim forces can employ these principles in the modern battleground and experience great feats like their predecessors.
Islam is a comprehensive and universal religion for all races and classes of people not inclined to serve a specific category or group but specially aim to address the needs of all humanity with its moral, spiritual, social, legal, political and economic systems. The research basically involves a distinguish features of the foreign relations of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). The analysis has been done from the time of migration and it also includes the states relations with different continents along with letters of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). I have tried my lever best to simply describe the events and highlight the wisdom and intelligence of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) in the foreign relations of the Muslim state of Madina.
