This obituary aims at providing a brief account of an inspiring soul Waqar Ahmed Zuberi. He was a renowned Biologist and contributed much to the field through his researches. He passed away on July 2nd, 2019 was laid to rest in a graveyard of Karachi. His autobiography cum collection of brief articles Jo Dekha, Likha (Written, What I Saw) has many things to share about his early life, professional endeavors and above all love for Urdu literature and language. He advocated scientific literature through his writings. Retired from the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences and Technologies, he volunteered his times to act as a guiding member of the editorial team of the HEC recognized peer-reviewed research journal Ma’arif Research Journal. He also remained among the advisory board of the biannual Tehseel, Karachi: an academic and research journal for Urdu language and literature. His endeavors deserve special mention which facilitated the Urdu knowing class studying the advanced studies of the field of Biology.
