Abstract

During 2012-18, Nawaz government reviewed pace of economic development and introduced economic reforms in different sectors to boost economy of Pakistan. The government provided fiscal and monetary incentives to agricultural community. Economic policies set a tone for industrialists, entrepreneurs and other stock market investors. China-Pak economic corridor remained on the path of progress. However, improvement of transport and communication sector got top priority whereas basic necessities of life got secondary importance which resulted in anxiety among public. In Islamic state, it is the obligation for a sovereign to provide individuals with basic necessities of life and to design policy in favor of public benefits. In this era, corruption, burden of debt, trade imbalance, poverty, low literacy and unemployment rate etc. also increased. Following entire Islamic economic doctrines, our economy would develop. The purpose of this research paper is to analyses the economic policies of Nawaz's government in the light of Islamic teachings. This research paper follows descriptive and analytical methods.
