Abstract

"Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance." (Al-Nhal:125)
From the above verse alone it can be understood that daw'ah (inviting people to Islam) is very important in the house of Islam. The verse strongly encourages Muslims to propagate Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims. The verse also informs: Muslims should do daw'ah with wisdom and attractive preaching, not by methods which make what is being preached uninteresting and boring. It is only become possible when we get guide lines from the basic sources of shari'ah (Qura'n and Sunn'ah), and follow the principles in this regard. Also it should be noticed that is not up to the Da'ii to convert the non-Muslims (that is only up to Allah) but Muslims should at least try to convey the message of Islam as guided by the Holy Qura'n and Prophet Muhammad(PBUH).
