Abstract

Islam is a religion of peace and tranquiltiy. It works for the welfare of all human beings. In the Holy Quran, war against the non-belivers is only permissible when they assualt muslims (adopt agressive measures against muslims). During the war , Islam does not allow to harm their handicaped, women, children and eldarly persons. The non-belivers who seek peace and want to live with peace and tranquility in the Islamic state, Islam permits to have peaceful settlement with them. The security of their lives, properties, honour and religion is assured by the Islamic state. At the hour of need, they are provided financial assistance too. Ful religious freedom is granted to them. No one is forced to ebmrace Islam. Islam treats all the non-belivers with equality and cares them well. All the treaties made with them, are fully respected and honoured. If non-belivers break the treaties, they are first informed about the breakage of the treaty. In case, the non-muslim do not abide by the treaty and obdurate to violate the settlemant, then action can be taken against them. As a whole, the non-muslim subjects of Islamic state have the equal rights with the muslims.
