Abstract

Mosque is the most important institution of Islamic society.Through out the Islamc history, the mosque plays the central role in the development of the cultural ,social and political life of muslims. It is a place for prayers, meditation,religious and social guidance,a judicial court, a government sector for political discussions and decisions,and the most important ,a basic institution of education for both men and women.

Islam does not only supports the women to attend the daily congregation of salat (Prayers) but encourages her for attending the prayers and khutbats of eid and Jumma. Islam provides women the oppurtunity of gaining knowledge from the direct central source of mosque.

In keeping with prophet's era, muslim must work to develop more welcoming and accessible space for the women in their congregation of salat (prayers) for the development of an original islamic society.
